Hello Lisbon! Will you get a load of the view from our apartment?
I recorded two short videos (my internet failed a couple of minutes into the first one…)
Cool quirks about our apartment in Lisbon.
Our apartment building is roughly 300 years old. I don’t think we have any square-shaped rooms.
There are painted tiles of two cats in the wall across from our apartment’s front door, cause the builders must have known I was coming.
The walls are 2 to 3 feet deep, and there are windows everywhere.
Across the street from us is the building where the Portugese government and military barricaded itself during the peaceful “Carnation Revolution” 50 years ago. Women and children put flowers in the ends of the soldiers’ rifles, and not a shot was fired.
We can see Lisbon’s medieval castle from our kitchen.
We’re in the Chiado district, walking distance to EVERYTHING.
