“Soy esposa.”
That’s my new bit of Spanish from my (first) Honeymoon in Mexico. Where we renewed our vows on on the first day of our honeymoon… 13 days into our marriage. We had an impromptu church wedding!
Devin and I plan to have many, many honeymoons for a very long time. And a marriage ceremony every where we go. Temples, churches, mosques… it’s all good.
In the meanwhile, let me share a few of the HIGHLIGHTS of our very FIRST honeymoon, this one in Puerto Vallarta… which was a great choice! One of the best trips I’ve ever had.
A honeymoon MUST– a great view.
Take a look at the view from our room at the CasaMagna Marriott:

First thing you should know about Puerto Vallarta: stepping into the ocean is like stepping into a bath tub with waves! The water is so WARM… some days it’s warmer than the air. One of the BEST experiences you’ll ever have.
And if you can have it with someone you love, that’s a million times better.
One of my favorite adventures was this remote Ocean Grill restaurant and beach, accessible only by boat (approximately 30 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta). The food is outrageous. The ambiance reminded me of Bali. The owner Alfonso doesn’t advertise. It’s all word of mouth and good sailing weather…
The motto at Ocean Grill.
Lakshmi! Even in Mexico. My Money Goddess is everywhere!
The view from the open air wash room. (One of my favorite features of tropical living)
The best veggie burger in the world.
The beach. The water is crystal clear, warm, and filled with little fish.
The view from the groovy, artsy Terra Noble healing/spa overlooking Puerto Vallarta

Stormy sunset on the sailboat–taking photos in a thunderstorm while trying to not fall off the boat!
We had “green juice” every morning (cactus, pineapple, spinach, and orange)

Obviously anyone who has been paying attention knows that even in my work around money, LOVE comes first. ESPECIALLY when you’re doing work around money.
In fact I believe there can be no better business strategy than living a spectacular, LOVE-filled life.
That’s why I’m sharing photos from something so precious and personal. Because I really do believe that love comes first.
It’s really possible to have it all. (Which was, by the way, the theme that came up last month when I was leading my Money Goddess retreat in Bali.) Anything less is a Money Monster lie.
Looks like you guys had an amazing honeymoon. I’ve been to Ocean Grill as well…it’s one of my favorite things to do in Vallarta. Such a cool spot!
