We caught an early morning bus for a 6 hour ride to Lisbon from Portugal. (The train is an epic 13 hours between these two cities. In the end bus was the best way to go.)
I finished Phillip Pullman’s new novel in his Golden Compass/Dark Materials/Dust cosmology. I LOVE this writer!
The great thing about all this travel is I FINALLY am reading again! I’ve finished 3 novels, just started a fourth. I highly recommend Margaret Atwood’s new Handmaid’s Tale follow up “The Testament.”
I love our new apartment in Lisbon. So charming, sunny, and the best views in the city. Easy (but hilly) walking distance to everything.
Lisbon is what would happen if San Fancisco married a Jane Austen novel. Hilly seaside city and beautiful Austin-era architecture.
What did we do our first day in Lisbon? EAT!!!
Quick tip when you go to Lisbon: check out TIME OUT. It’s a big marketplace full of invite-only top chefs offering a crazy variety of gourmet dishes from their stalls. So fun!
Sorry no video. Too busy eating…
