And it keeps trying to secede from the union, so who knows? Maybe Texas will shift status and help us fill our quota retroactively. 😉
We married in Austin, Texas. This was my first time in Texas and I LOVED it!
Even cooler, we were staying at a fanciful, magical retreat center called the Wizards Academy, exchanging ideas with smart people, and walking in nature. Truth be told, I dragged Devin along with me to a professional mastermind with a bunch of people he didn’t know. He’s a good sport.
When I discovered a wedding chapel on the property, our next step was obvious: Wedding #17!
I recruited a longtime friend and mentor to marry us. I committed his marriage blessing to heart:
May your wedding be based on Lying, Cheating, and Stealing.
- May you lie your heads on the same pillow each night.
- May you cheat father time.
- May you steal each others’ hearts.
It’s corny, but I tear up every time I recite it. What a beautiful blessing!
I think it’s an Armenian tradition. (See? I snuck in a little bit of international culture after all!)
